As part of Fairtrade Fortnight, which runs from Monday 29 February to Monday 14 March, the Fairtrade Foundation has arranged for a banana farmer from Colombia, Julio Mercado Cantillo, to spend time in Surrey.
On Tuesday 8 March he will come to Christ Church URC hall, Leatherhead, for an opportunity to chat about what Fairtrade means to the farmer in the field and his family in a relaxed setting. Fairtrade tea, coffee and biscuits will be served in the hall.
