In the third week of our programme of prayer and reflections as we prepare for Christmas, we shall reflect on:
– The Antiphon: “O Rising Sun, you are the splendour of eternal light and the sun of justice. O come and enlighten those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of the earth.”
– the Gospel reading: John 1:6-8, 19-28
– an excerpt from one of St Augustine’s sermons (John is the voice, but the Lord is the Word ….)
