Duck Race
Sunday 3rd July
from 2.00pm

A quacking good time can be had by the whole family at the annual Leatherhead Duck Race which is taking place on the banks of the River Mole by the town bridge – so come and place your bet on the duck you think will win and cheer him or her home.

The first seven races for ducks (six heats and a grand final) will be followed by a swan race, back by popular demand. Buy a £1 ticket on the day and bet on your favourite swan. All money raised will go towards future town festivals.

All this will be followed by a grand finale, which will see hundreds of yellow bath-time ducks take to the water in what is always a great photo opportunity.

Yellow ducks for the mass duck race can be sponsored for just £1 on the day or in advance at the Swan Centre on Thursdays and Saturdays, or from Barton’s Bookshop in Bridge Street. Some exciting prizes will be up for grabs.

For the little ones, there will be a storyteller on the banks of the Mole, and a miniature steam train ride at nearby Mill Lane.
